In the space between Johnny Roberts' first howl and its echo returning from the creek, a primordial emptiness opened—the same void from which Yggdrasil first grew. Now it pulses between each of the eight trials, swallowing the eliminated and transforming the survivors. The Ginnungagap remembers every warrior who enters it and ensures none emerge unchanged.

The Ginnungagap manifests as a self-consuming void with fractal edges that spiral inward infinitely, each recursion revealing glimpses of eliminated warriors dissolving into cosmic geometry. Its boundaries shimmer with prismatic coronas where reality itself fragments and refracts. The void pulses rhythmically, synchronized to the collective heartbeat of remaining competitors, growing more intense with each league as more warriors are consumed.

The Ginnungagap functions as the series' digestive system, consuming eliminated warriors while distilling survivors into increasingly pure forms of competitive will with each passing league. It ensures no one reaches Valhalla's gates unchanged.
