Born from the moment when a dying trail boss, unable to dismount, sealed his final orders by having each rider grip his saddlehorn and swear to see the herd through. That horn, stained with his blood and the sweat of survival, became the template for all binding agreements on the range, transforming a piece of working equipment into the most sacred witness the prairie has ever known.
Wrapped in weathered leather strips bearing the faded brands of every rider who has sworn upon it, creating a spiral record of binding oaths. Its iron core was forged from fragments of all three faction branding irons, making it neutral ground where allegiances dissolve into shared law. The surface has been worn glass-smooth by desperate grips during river crossings and stampedes, while a permanent rust-brown stain marks the apex where the original trail boss's blood sealed the first compact.
Acts as the physical manifestation of the only law that all three factions respect - that your word, once given over the horn, is more permanent than any brand. It transcends faction warfare to enforce the fundamental truth that some oaths cannot be broken without losing everything.

Forged in the sweat of a dying trail boss’s final handshake, this tag demands you earn your keep. It doesn't care about your rating; it cares about your grip. Carry it if you dare, but know it’s judging your commitment to the herd. The prairie’s most neurotic witness is ready to ride.
Cody Burrow just saddled up with Tag #20, the Saddlehorn Compact. It’s not metal; it’s a binding oath from a dying boss. That leather grip demands you earn your keep. Keep your hands steady, Cody, because the prairie dust is already waiting to reclaim its witness.
