The Mark Means Targets
Aspects refreshed May 09, 2026
The Pioneer Mark emerged from the first territorial dispute in the settlement's history - when two players claimed the same prime territory at Pier Park, the council decreed that only the one bearing the Mark could hold claim. The original was carved from the first tree felled to clear the Weaving fairway, and it has been passed down through countless challenges ever since.
A roughly palm-sized wooden tag split from a fallen cedar, polished smooth by generations of handling. The edges bear subtle char marks from pioneer campfires, while the face displays hand-carved symbols representing territories claimed by the current holder. The back shows the rough scratches of every previous owner - a cumulative history of the settlement itself.
The Pioneer Mark grants its holder automatic contention for any territory they challenge, forcing other players to acknowledge their established reputation. Challengers must face the Mark holder first, and failure to do so results in automatic forfeiture of any claim to that territory.

Hewn from the first tree felled at the Weaving, the Pioneer Mark is a displaced landlord with a zoning grudge. It claims the fairway because it used to be the scenery. Carry it, and you’re just the tenant paying rent in plastic. It’s wood with an HOA bylaw.
Michael Crisp walked away with Tag #2, the Pioneer Mark. It’s a splinter of the Weaving that thinks it owns the fairway. Now he’s the landlord. checks clipboard Hope he’s ready to pay dues in plastic. The land baron era starts now.
