Roswell Pentimento
A Brushstroke in Gray's Eternal Masterpiece
Haunted by Previous Holders
Aspects refreshed May 15, 2026
Long before the Wednesday Johnny League existed, the Grays created the Pentimento as a recording device to document humanity's geometric competitions across all eras. When they finally made contact at Roswell, they brought the artifact with them as proof of their long observation, and it became the sacred template from which all league bag tags descend.
The Roswell Pentimento manifests as a translucent disc with internal layered structures resembling ancient paint layers. It emits a soft golden glow in alignment with the series' secondary color (#D4AF37). Its internal luminescence pulses when bag tag transfers occur nearby, and it contains geometric patterns that shift based on competitive observations.
The Roswell Pentimento serves as the cosmic archive of the Wednesday Johnny League - when a player takes a bag tag, the Pentimento records the transfer, preserving the ghostly traces of all previous holders within its layered surface. It determines which players become permanent brushstrokes in the Grays' eternal masterpiece and which fade into the gray obsolescence of footnotes in the Roswell Codex.

The Roswell Pentimento arrived via UFO to document our geometry, but mostly it just judges our form. This golden OG tag has been waiting since 1947 for a throw that doesn't bore it. It sits unclaimed on the table, pulsing softly, likely because it thinks your hyzer is derivative. Good luck impressing the artifact.
adjusts headset Daniel Peacock just claimed Tag 53, the Roswell Pentimento. The alien artifact is now officially judging his hyzer angles. It’s pulsing gold, which means either it approves of his form or it’s just buffering footage of his grip lock. Welcome to the surveillance, Daniel.
