The Short Shadow was born from the first true market crash in the Emerald Ledger - when a player's spectacular rise was systematically dismantled by a coalition of rivals who 'shorted' their position, profiting from each subsequent collapse until the player was liquidated entirely. The Shadow is the residual energy of that calculated destruction, forever trapped between the moment of triumph and the inevitable fall.
Cold to the touch, radiating the chill of market crashes. Creates a 'bear market' visual effect - inverting colors around it, leaving surrounding tags looking washed out and desperate. Emits a subtle whispering sound like ticker tape being shredded. Cannot be destroyed, only transferred through specific challenge conditions involving failed defenses.
