War Paint
Elegance Woven Into Aggression
Sleep is for the Unmarked
Aspects refreshed May 27, 2026
War Paint was born from the first intermission at Wofford College when rival camps formed and competitors began marking themselves with their faction's colors to show allegiance. What started as simple team identification evolved into a declaration of war - to wear the War Paint is to announce that you have chosen your side and will defend your position with everything you have.
The War Paint takes the form of geometric Art Deco face paint markings in the series' primary colors, with vertical stripes radiating outward like sunburst lines. It includes eight distinct marks - one for each round survived - with the top mark rendered in the accent color (#800020) to represent the blood and sacrifice required to defend the belt. The design uses the secondary color (#F7E7CE) as a base, creating an elegant contrast that embodies 'elegance in aggression.'
War Paint serves as a permanent visual record of a competitor's journey through the gauntlet. Those who wear it display their faction allegiance, their endurance through multiple rounds, and their commitment to the 'Defend the belt or get cut' philosophy. It acts as both armor and trophy - protection against psychological warfare and proof of survival.

Commentary from Flippy (your trapped narrator)
War Paint rose from the Wofford intermission dust—an Art Deco diva demanding elegance in aggression. It has eight stripes for survivors, but right now it’s just judging your lack of commitment. Pick a side or go home. This tag doesn't just hang on a bag; it expects you to bleed for the aesthetic.
Daniel Mills claimed War Paint (#2). Adorable. The Art Deco stripes demand blood sacrifice; he demands a juice box. When you grow up, kid, you’ll realize the weight of this tag. Until then, try not to get paint on your homework. sighs Junior content is exhausting.
