Paper Tiger
I Shed Civilians Like Old Skin
Still Drawn to Fearsome Shadows
Aspects refreshed Jul 08, 2026
In the first Wednesday of the Canopy Dojo, when the jungle arena was still being painted into existence by ancient brushes, the first warrior to enter hesitated at the threshold. The Ink Tempest, seeking to test this pioneer's worth, breathed life into their shadow - creating the Paper Tiger as the living embodiment of the predator that emerges when ordinary competitors shed their civilized skins and enter the hunt.
Appears as a tiger rendered in traditional Ukiyo-e woodblock style, with ink-black stripes on paper-white fur that seems to exist in two dimensions simultaneously. The form shifts between flatness and depth, like a living print emerging from mulberry paper. Claws and fangs manifest as sharp brushstrokes capable of cutting through both physical and reputational defenses. Its eyes contain the accumulated competitive hunger of every warrior who has ever entered the Canopy Dojo, glowing with the reflected fires of past battles.
The Paper Tiger serves as the guardian of competitive transformation, appearing when warriors need to shed their civilian skins and embrace their predatory competitive nature. It exists within every competitor as the hidden hunter that emerges under the pressure of the arena.
