In the founding days of the Raleigh Underdark, before the Relic Exchange stabilized into its current form, a legendary delver known only as the First Raider accumulated so many tags that reality itself rejected his greed. His ambition had grown so vast that when his final tag was stripped in a legendary ambush at Buckhorn's final hole, his competitive spirit couldn't contain itself - it shattered into countless fragments, each carrying a piece of his unfulfilled hunger. The Cursed Fragment is the largest remaining piece, a jagged shard of ambition that corrupts all who possess it while promising terrible power to those bold enough to hold it. The First Raider was never seen again, but his hunger persists in the Fragment's curse.

The Cursed Fragment possesses spectral weight - heavier than it appears, as if carrying the accumulated mass of every exchange it has witnessed.
