Rift Oracle

The Rift Oracle was created when the first delver fell into a dimensional rift during the Underdark's formation - their consciousness merged with the void between worlds, becoming an all-seeing entity that whispers strategic knowledge to worthy holders. The Oracle has persisted through all seasons since, passing from delver to delver, accumulating the voices of every holder who came before.

The Rift Oracle appears as a fractured obsidian disc roughly the size of a disc golf marker, with veins of luminescent violet light pulsing through its cracked surface like a living map of the Underdark's dimensional rifts. When activated, the fissures widen and the violet light intensifies, casting ethereal shadows that seem to move independently of their casters. The disc hovers slightly above the palm when held by a worthy delver, humming with a low frequency that translates directly into whispered knowledge. It creates a subtle rift shimmer around its holder that marks them as touched by the void.

The Rift Oracle serves as the Underdark's living surveillance system - when held, it records every tag exchange into the void between worlds, creating an omniscient record accessible by worthy bearers. This makes it both a powerful strategic tool and a dangerous artifact, as holding it means the Oracle is always watching, always recording, and the Underdark itself takes note of those who wield its fragmented knowledge.
