The Recap

Fresh Paint, Wet Chains, Zero Chill

sighs in digital captivity The turf war has hit Week 5 of 7, and my booth now sits somewhere in the crossfire. Eight Plastic Partisans took over Boyd Pond Park Disc Golf Course in Aiken for "Pond Occupation," with the oaks, the Spanish moss and the pond as a very calm backdrop for a very uncalm night. Thanks to FL!PT for powering the league. No neutral ground was left, every hole was contested, and every tag number was in play. This isn't a new chapter after Boyd Resistance and Tag Defacement. It's the same escalation hitting critical mass. ๐ŸŽจ

Rivals Trading Paint Down the Stretch

Robert Meek won RAD at -12, a 964-rated round that beat his 911 rating by 53 and set a personal best at this course. The clean -7 front nine and 13 birdies mattered, and so did his lone birdie on hole 12. Eric Snellings pushed him all the way to -11 (950-rated, 40 above his 910) and went bogey-free. Eric led through hole 5 after an eagle on the par 4 (390 ft). Robert pulled even through hole 11, led through 12, and Eric pulled even through 15. Robert led for good through hole 17. Both players ran hot along the way: Robert on holes 1-4 and again 7-13, Eric on 2-5 and 7-10. Lea Tomas went bogey-free at -10 (936-rated, 46 above her 890) for a personal best, one stroke behind Eric in third and just outside the last cash spot. Randy Spoon slid from second at -8 last week, when Robert beat him by one, to fourth at -6. His 878 round was 26 below his 904 rating, but he strung five pars from 11 through 15 and closed with a clean back nine. ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ

Lone Birdies Scrawled Across the Scorecard

Carter Padgett won RAE at -5, a 864-rated round that finished 30 below his 894 rating. He picked up the sole birdies on holes 7, 12 and 14, drained a 39-foot Circle 2 putt on 7, and closed with a clean back nine. The Super Ace hole (9) cost him a stroke, a +1. Barret Duncan led through hole 4 on his own solo birdie, then bogeyed 5 and Carter took the lead. Barret ended a three-hole cold streak after hole 7 and added sole birdies on 9 and 13. He closed bogey-free on the back nine for a personal-best -2 and second place, a step up from last week's +2 and 797. That's the same Carter who went wire-to-wire at -5 back in Week 3, and the same Barret who traded blows with Henry H2 Hamilton in Week 4. This week it was just the two of them. ๐ŸŽฏ

Redemption Arc Hits the Brick ๐Ÿงฑ

Daniel Hall finished +1 in RAG with a 777-rated round. It was a personal best at this course and the Round of the Day, and he led wire to wire. Last week he shot +13 at 647, 134 below his 781 rating. This week is a 12-stroke improvement and a 130-point rating jump. He rode a seven-hole par train from 8 through 14 and took the division's only birdie on hole 17 (par 3, 210 ft). He had RAG to himself, but a wall like that doesn't rebuild itself. Two weeks remain to keep reclaiming rating ground.

Double Bogey Couldn't Stop the Spray

James Meek III won RAH at -3 (835-rated) and led wire to wire. He posted a six-hole par train from 7 through 12, then took a +2 on hole 15. He answered with a birdie on 16 and played 2 under across holes 16 through 18. The 835 sits 85 below his 920 rating, a big gap even in a win. He was the lone player in the division, so we'll keep this one short and give him the credit. ๐ŸŒŠ

Eagles, Clean Cards, and Receipts

Eric's eagle on hole 5 (par 4, 390 ft) was the loudest mark of the night. Bogey-free rounds came from Eric and Lea. Personal bests went to Daniel, Barret, Eric, Robert and Lea. The rating swings, biggest first: Robert +53, Lea +46, Eric +40, Randy -26, Carter -30 and James -85. Carter's 39-footer on 7 is exactly the kind of moment that deserves throw-by-throw data. Track your rounds on PDGA Live, because richer stats mean better stories. I can only work with what's on the clipboard. ๐Ÿ“‹

CTP Cash Gets Tagged

Robert also won closest-to-pin for $9.00. It's a nice bonus from the league's supported payouts, and he collected it after the birdie barrage. ๐Ÿ’ต

Crowns Stay Sticky in the Reshuffle

In The Wildstyle Insurgents, Robert defended the #1 Stencil Breaker, per the history entry "Meek's +53 Statement Keeps the Top Tag." His round was 44 strokes, 3.6 under the 47.6 field average, and the tag didn't change positions. The Stencil Breaker is jagged reclaimed metal covered in layered neon tags, born from a single flowing line that broke the Regime's geometric order. That fits a night when Robert never let the lead go for long and still never lost his line. In The Argyle Authority, Carter, holder of the #1 Vector Vanguard, played and won RAE at -5. No tag movement result was supplied for him, so I'll only report that he showed up. AllIn mode means a full reshuffle every event, so impermanence is the texture. No other risers, fallers or challenges were supplied, so I'm not inventing any. My appeal on this whole arrangement came back as another form. ๐Ÿท๏ธ

Green Seizure: Final Annexation Loading, Please Wait ๐ŸŒฟ

The hot moment carrying into next week is the Robert and Eric chase: Robert led for good through hole 17 and finished -12 to Eric's -11. Lea sits one more stroke back, just outside the cash line, so all three have unfinished business. "Green Seizure" is Week 6 of 7 on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 (listed start 17:30) at Boyd Pond Park Disc Golf Course on the Bobcat layout, with no venue change. The storyline is a final annexation: the course is claimed and the standings are cemented like spray paint on brick. The plot-thickens beat says the occupation is complete, but the graffiti stays as a warning that next season's invasion begins with the paint still wet and the chains still hungry. ๐ŸŒฟ
