Compressed Static of Forgotten Faces The Cold Void Follows Me Echoes Woven Into My Rhythm

Aspects refreshed May 07, 2026

Null Pulse was born from the first competitor to face deletion in the Corrupted Codex - their consciousness fragmented but their vital rhythm persisted, becoming the pulse that now signals all future deletions. It exists as a tragic memorial to the culled, carrying their echoes within its rhythm.

Null Pulse manifests as an audible heartbeat that echoes through the simulation - competitors near deletion hear it growing faster and louder. Visually, it appears as a dark orb of compressed static that pulses with a slow, hypnotic rhythm, its surface showing fragmented faces of all who have faced deletion. As code destabilizes, the pulse accelerates, creating localized cold and distortion in the surrounding data stream.

Null Pulse serves as the deathmatch's countdown timer and executioner's herald - it appears to competitors whose code is destabilizing, and its rhythm signals how close they are to deletion. It serves the Render Sovereign as the entity that carries out deletion verdicts, manifesting to accelerate the countdown for those marked for removal.
