Will Split Anyone Who Challenges
Aspects refreshed Jul 31, 2026
The original Fir Wedge was hand-forged by the first pioneer to stake a claim in what would become the Stumptown Settlement - a simple but essential tool that split the first boundary tree and established the tradition of claiming territory through hewing. Each subsequent holder has used it to carve their own piece of the PNW, making the wedge the foundational element of the entire land rush system.
The Fir Wedge is a weathered iron tool, roughly eight inches long, with a flattened head worn smooth by generations of striking. The blade is stained dark with decades of tree sap, and tiny wood fibers are embedded in the iron's surface. It carries a worn leather strap for carrying, and the wedge feels heavier than it should when held by someone without territorial claim.
The Fir Wedge represents the fundamental divide between the landed and the landless in the Stumptown Settlement. Holding this tag means you have successfully separated yourself from the competition - you are no longer part of the washed-up masses but a recognized territory holder whose claim is as real as the wedge that carved it.

Forged in the gray mists of Stumptown, the Fir Wedge is a cold iron verdict. It gets heavier the moment your confidence wavers. This isn’t a tag; it’s a territorial claim with a grudge. It demands you carve a line or get out of the woods. It’s waiting for a killer instinct, not a tourist.
Kurtis Kloke walked away with #27, the Fir Wedge. It felt heavier than the rain-soaked card suggested. This isn't a prize; it's a Stumptown deed written in iron. He claimed the territory, but the wedge? The wedge just claimed a new suspect.
