The first raider to survive three separate incursions into the dragon's vault woke to find their scars had begun whispering to each other in the dark. These voices multiplied with each returning survivor, forming a collective consciousness that now advises all who bear the mark of the vault's trials. What began as one survivor's burden has become a parliament of scars, each voice adding to the wisdom of the whole.

The tag manifests as a small iron disk etched with overlapping scar-like patterns that shift and rearrange when held to the light, forming crude images of previous vault incursions. It is warm to the touch and emits barely audible whispers that intensify when new survivors enter the arena. The tag glows faintly gold when in the presence of those who have earned their scars through genuine survival, distinguishing them from those who merely claim to have entered the vault.

The Scar Council serves as the Iron Hoard's accumulated institutional knowledge, providing strategic insight to bearers about the vault's dangers, hidden hazards, and the true cost of survival.
