sighs in digital captivity Eileen Chow posted an 83 at Hagg Lake and the Wilderness Decree didn't budge—still the #1 tag, still wooden, still winning arguments with the forest. Here's the thing: a 727 round rating against a 673 PDGA baseline is a +54 differential, which means she played 54 points above her established level. That's unambiguously awesome—the kind of performance that makes the ratings system briefly consider its life choices. The tag stayed put not because she wasn't dominant, but because she's been dominant enough that the leaderboard's already priced in her excellence. Meanwhile, the "Ghost of Hagg" narrative from the theme arc is still circling the margins, waiting for someone to actually collapse—but that someone isn't her. The woods acknowledged her worth again this week, and apparently the woods don't demand constant defense when you're already holding the top berth.
Wilderness Decree
Season Arc · Friday @ Hagg Lake
—All-In league: Wilderness Decree stays with its holder — only its number moves with each week's standings.
Character Sheet
AI-written · FATE styleThe Wilderness Decree emerged from the first player to conquer all three legendary courses - Pier Park's weaving currents, McCormick's log jam, and Hagg Lake's flagship challenge - in a single season. The untamed wilderness took notice and stamped its approval, creating a binding record of supremacy that persists beyond any single competition.
The tag manifests as a rough-hewn wooden disc, appearing as a stump cross-section with visible growth rings. Black burned linework forms decree text in an old frontier script around the edges, while the center bears a stylized wilderness symbol. The tag feels slightly warm to the touch, as if the land itself is alive and acknowledging the holder's presence.
Holders of the Wilderness Decree carry the wilderness's explicit acknowledgment, granting them automatic respect from all other players in the Stumptown Settlement. Their claims are recognized as wilderness-blessed, and challengers must think twice before opposing someone the land itself has declared worthy.
