Iron Accountant
Ledger-Bound Ghost of the Locked Course
Chained to My Ledger's Judgement
Aspects refreshed Dec 14, 2025
Born from the frozen ink of Scrooge's ledgers at the height of his greed, the Iron Accountant manifested when the mill's gates were first locked, a spirit condemned to forever audit the cost of joy. It emerged from the counting house's shadowy corners as pay-to-play policies took root, becoming a permanent specter of the isolation that once strangled the community.
This specter appears as a translucent Victorian clerk, its form wreathed in frost and bound by iron chains that clink with each movement. It carries a massive ledger that glows with ghostly blue-white runes, and its touch leaves a numbing cold, as if counting coins in winter, with spectral ink dripping from its quill to mark invisible tallies.
The Iron Accountant audits every traversal of the mill grounds with ledger-like accuracy, its quill scratching invisible tallies in the air to bar those deemed unworthy, a perpetual guardian of exclusion that ensures only the financially approved may pass, casting a frosty judgment on all who approach.

The Counting House
The Counting House represents the cold grip of commerce and exclusivity that once strangled Hagood Mill. These players embody the pre-redemption Scrooge mentality, viewing the course as a profit center rather than community space. They track every stroke with ledger-like precision, guard their scorecards jealously, and believe that disc golf's value lies in its exclusivity. Their play style emphasizes individual achievement over collective joy, and they see the course's gates as barriers meant to keep the unworthy out.
