The tag grows warmer when the holder's territory is threatened, cannot be transferred through normal means - only earned through surviving a siege - and vibrates in proximity to other Rootbind holders, creating an invisible network of land-acknowledged pioneers.

Rootbind marks players who have achieved permanent residence in the Stumptown Settlement - their claims cannot be contested through normal means because they are recognized by the land itself. When a player holds this tag, they carry the weight of the wilderness's blessing, signifying that they belong to the PNW as much as the PNW belongs to them.
