Long ago, the first Ronin of the Green entered the Canopy Dojo and was transformed by the experience. Their competitive spirit took root in the jungle floor as a thorny vine that now wanders through all levels of the hierarchy, testing each warrior who seeks to climb.
The Wandering Thorn moves between league tiers, appearing wherever competitive transformation is occurring. It has sharp thorns that draw blood from those who haven't fully shed their previous competitive identity. It glows faintly when a genuine transformation is occurring, and leaves a trail of fallen leaves (representing previous competitive identities) wherever it travels.
The Wandering Thorn serves as a living test that challenges competitors to prove they've truly shed their old competitive selves before they can claim a new position in the canopy. It appears to warriors on the verge of transformation, serving as both guide and guardian of the threshold between old and new competitive identities.

adjusts headset Born in the Canopy Dojo from the discarded ego of a Ronin, the Wandering Thorn isn't just a tag—it's a personality disorder with a number. It drifts between tiers, pricking anyone who hasn't fully reinvented themselves yet. Glow faintly? Sure, if you're actually evolving. Otherwise, it just leaves a trail of dead leaves and your previous ranking on the floor.
adjusts headset Alexander Harken just snagged Tag 37, the Wandering Thorn. It’s currently pricking him for that round he’d rather forget. The Thorn glows faintly, which is either a good sign or just a reaction to the humidity. Let's see if he evolves or just bleeds rating points.
