Guild Experiment Gone Right
Born from an experimental Guild project to strengthen desert flora with metallic root systems; now a natural guide for navigating Cog-and-Cactus Fairways.
A towering saguaro with visible brass cog-teeth along its arms, small gear mechanisms embedded in its trunk, and fine sand-grain textures on its skin.
Serves as a living waymarker indicating optional hazard routes and secret shortcut passages through the mechanized desert.
Season Story
narrated by FlippyJack Berens climbed from tag #13 to tag #7 with a 46, but the round rating told a harsher story: 847, which is -74 below his 921 PDGA rating. That sits in rough-episode territory, and the Gearwork Glen clearly did not cooperate. Still, his 46 beat the field average of 42.4 by +3.6 strokes and his own 43.0 personal average by +3.0, so the tag board moved him up six spots on a day the gears mostly stuck. Consider it a copper-level dent that Jack can file under "the aspens are still warming up."
Jack Berens dropped from tag #2 to #10, losing eight places with a 43—2.9 strokes above the 40.1 field average. His 873 round rating was -49 below his 922 PDGA rating, a clear rough episode; amid Copper Rivet’s maintenance lore, this gear-train needs a reset.
Cog Cactus is peeling off the main stage, those brass arms adjusting for a new broadcast. The desert flora has a Wednesday appointment: the Johnny Flipt League. Jack Berens is the designated NPC for this spinoff arc. Consider this a side quest in the ongoing saga—same mechanical roots, slightly lower stakes. The narrative forks here.
