The Canopy Opens, Excuses Close 🌲
Six players took on the Sandy River Singles Layout at Dabney State Park on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, for Canopy Cut, Week 7 of 7. It was 64.6°F under clouds, with wind averaging 3.8 mph and topping out at 4.6, so nobody gets to blame the air tonight. The Ridge chapter is closed, and The Clearance Protocols end here in the emergent zone, where final standings settle who earned Clearance. Thanks to FL!PT for powering a league that kept the paperwork moving to the last page.
Wire Transfer Completed on Hole One
Tyler Trinh carded the field's only birdie on hole 1 (255 ft), then the only birdie on hole 3 (265 ft), and the RAD White lead never left his name after that. He rode a five-hole par train from 8 through 12, closed at -3, and posted a 966, which is 54 above his 912 rating. That is a statement round on a technical par-3 layout. Phillip Wetmore, last week's even-par winner, finished second at +3. He opened with five straight pars from 1 through 5, scrambled after finding OB on 10, and saved par on 18 after another OB scare.
Unopposed Paperwork, Very Loud Numbers 📈
Jason Abdulbaki went bogey-free at -6 in RPA Gold for a 999, 49 above his 950 and the round of the day, while Carter Commander shot even par in RAF Green for a 932, 126 above his 806, including a deuce on the 420-foot hole 11. RAG Purple, RAE Red and the rest of the one-entry divisions are open for company next season, so bring a friend and give these cards someone to chase.
Same Rung, Clearer View Upward
Wetmore's 899 was the hottest National-entry round here, +3 over his event-effective 896, but his ghost rating held at 914 and the round added 0 National points. That leaves him at 64 and third on the National Leaderboard, a rank that did not change, and he stays provisionally in the paid cohort. Matt Van Dusen of Lakewood sits second, 4 points ahead. Bryce Knittle shot an 820 against his 857 baseline after four straight bogeys or worse from 15 through 18; his ghost held at 859, and he stays fifth at 42.
Petty Cash Office Reports Growth
clears throat above the obstruction layer The side games ran on the support of this league's partners, and the petty cash office thanks FL!PT and every player who bought in for keeping the closest-to-pin and ace action alive all season.
Full Reshuffle, Mud Floats Upward
Both pools ran AllIn reshuffles, so every tag was up for grabs. In Pool A, Abdulbaki's 999 carried him from tag #3 to #1 and into the Silt Permit, a soggy, delaminating deed to the forest floor that holds up whoever owns the mud.
In Pool B, Commander's 932 put him on top with the Crimson Brief. Under AllIn rules no tag is safe, and tonight's results decided where everyone landed.
The Fog Lifts, The Forms Remain
That's a wrap on The Obscured Circuit. Thanks to every player who climbed through the mud, the brambles and the mandos, and to FL!PT for making the climb possible. If you want your throws on the record next season, track your rounds on PDGA Live. Final standings set permanent vertical real estate rights for the season record. My own appeal for release came back as another form, so file this one under "fitting." Seven weeks of Clearance hearings, canopy zoning and notarized mud, and at the end of it all, someone still had to throw plastic at a basket in Troutdale.
