Clear Skies, Muddy Bookkeeping Anyway ๐
Three eagles hit the card at Mud Ledger, Week 6 of 8, and two of them landed on hole 18 (Par 5, 662ft). Five players took on the Yellows (Treebash '26) at Fort Tuthill DGC under clear skies, 51.5ยฐF with wind near 8.8 mph. The episode's sustained rain apparently missed its call time. Week 5's Green Return hands off to the Mud Ledger, where the crew initials its saves and slides while the Dawn Sawyers dissolve and the Clay Carvers rise. The raid party has room for more, so bring a friend next Wednesday.
Two Eagles Land, One Signature Counts
Hole 5 flipped MPO. Jonathan Bia opened on a par train through holes 1 to 6, but Codi Wood pulled even through hole 4 and led for good from hole 5 on. Then Wood finished like a raid boss dropping loot. The field's only birdie on hole 16 (Par 3, 406ft) started three straight birdies or better through 18, capped by the eagle, for -11 and a 995, the round of the day. That's a step down from his Week 5 1030, which tells you what kind of season he's having. Bia matched the eagle on 18 and closed with a clean back nine for -6, a personal best on this layout, though it rated 941, 25 below his 966. Jamiah Bia took third at -2, built on a four-hole hot streak from 9 to 12 and a five-hole par train from 13 to 17.
Solo Cards, Open Invitations ๐ช
Rhett Rucker (MA40) posted the swing of the night, eagling hole 11 (Par 4, 428ft) and closing with a clean back nine for a -6 personal best rated 941, 27 above his 914, while Alex Stone (MA1) carded the field's only birdies on holes 2 and 6 inside a four-hole hot streak from 5 to 8 on his way to -6. Both cards have empty seats, so MA1 and MA40 challengers, grab a pencil and sign the ledger.
The Pot Keeps Quietly Compounding ๐ฐ
No ace this week, so the vault stays sealed. One contributor added $2.00 to the split Super Ace pot, nudging it from $446.00 to $448.00. Every unclaimed week makes somebody's eventual chain-rattler a little more legendary. Loot the chains or go home empty-handed.
Every Round Fuels the Lumberjacks
The league's registration contribution raised $12.50 this event for Fuel the NAU Disc Golf Team. The project now sits at $92.50 of its $1,000.00 goal (9%), with $907.50 to go. For once the lore and the ledger agree: every round really does fund the team.
Two Thrones, Zero Evictions ๐
Both pools ran all-in reshuffles, and both #1 seats ended up with the same names on them. In The Ringwright Union, Codi Wood keeps the #1 Ringroot Watch on the strength of Wood's 995. The tag is a root-crown cross-section, annual rings against pale cambium, and it serves as the league's memory of who keeps showing up. Fitting, since Wood keeps showing up and finishing on top.

In The Sawtooth Syndicate, Rhett Rucker, "The Sawtooth Sentry," hangs onto the #1 Crosscut Keep behind that MA40 personal best. The Clay Carvers are watching the footing, and nobody up top slipped.
Turns Out the Forest Has Managers
Burn Scar arrives Wednesday, October 21, back at Fort Tuthill DGC, where a controlled burn has opened a new lane along hole 14's former treeline. Practiced lines may be obsolete, and the crew is learning its wilderness runs on a Forest Service schedule. With Rhett Rucker still carrying the saw, the scattered field has every reason to start plotting together. Track your round on PDGA Live so the heroics make the record.

Nothing humbles a band of rugged pioneers like finding out the Forest Service already did the chopping.
