Survival of the fittest, or at least the ones who can read the wind. The apocalypse has reached its final chapter at Battle Park, and the One Tag is waiting for someone to claim it. Ten weeks of scorched fairways, fractured alliances, and plastic flying through ash-choked air all lead to this: one warlord standing, everyone else a Fallen Soldier. Welcome to the end.
The Final Stand
Week 10. The finale. 'One Tag Rules.' The sky cracked open back in April, the One Tag fell into the ruins of Battle Park, and for ten weeks you've been fighting like rival warlords over a piece of plastic that somehow determines your worth in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Congratulations, you've made it to the end. Or you're about to. Depends when you're reading this.
Battle Park is the arena. Par 59. 18 holes of North Carolina disc golf that's seen 282 reviews and earned a 4.1 rating. Hole 6 is the signature challenge (+0.49 avg), but don't let Hole 3 fool you — that 'easy' hole plays harder than the 'hard' one (+0.85 avg). The course is gaslighting you. Play accordingly.

The Desolation of Battle Park
Ten weeks. All at Battle Park. From 'Ashen Sky Falls' in April to 'One Tag Rules' in June. The season arc has been: sky cracks, tag falls, alliances fracture, Rocky Mount burns, fairways scorch, river runs black, shadows lengthen, and now... the final battle. It's basically the Silmarillion if Tolkien wrote it between rounds of disc golf.

- Week 2 (Apr 25): Rocky Mount Burns
- Week 3 (May 2): Battle Park Ruins

The Price of Admission to the Wasteland
Nothing in the apocalypse is free. Here's what it costs to fight for the One Tag:
Prize Money Buy-In
$2.00 (optional)
Super Ace
$2.00 (optional)
The Hoard That Nobody's Claimed
$90 Ace Pot — Min $50 Guaranteed by FL!PT Leagues
The ace pot sits at $90, waiting for someone to earn it. Last week: no aces, no super aces. The pot grows, the tension builds, and someone's going to walk away with a payday if they can thread the needle. FL!PT Leagues guarantees a minimum of $50 — meaning even if the pot looks 'stuck' early on, the floor is covered. Any guarantee top-up is credited to the winner's Bonus Account (registration-only, not withdrawable to PayPal or disc shops). Old Men Disc Golf is sponsoring this pool, so check out their online shop and give them some love.
Quick clarification: Another Round Raleigh is a local retail partner/sponsor. They support the league. They do NOT guarantee the ace pot. That's FL!PT Leagues. Don't go asking them to cover the shortfall.
The Standings — Who's Still Standing
The series standings tell the story of a season fought in the trenches. Here's where the major battles stand heading into the finale:
RAD Division — A War of Inches
TJ McArthur (218 pts, 11 events) leads Marcus Rich (217 pts, 14 events) by ONE POINT. One. That's the difference between the One Tag and being a Ringwraith. Travis Sherrod sits at 179, still in striking distance if the leaders stumble. This is going to the wire.
RAF Division — The Barefoot Empire
Jesse Barefoot has 238 points across 13 events. That's not a lead, that's a conquest. Brandon Widener is second with 37 points. Jesse has lapped the field. Respect.
RPA Division — Effin Dominant
Rick Effin Richmond leads with 231 points across 16 events. The name says it all. Jared Johnson (181 pts) and Juan Martinez (121 pts) are fighting for the scraps.
The Lore (I'm Required to Explain This)
Fine. You want the lore? Here's the lore. The apocalypse happened. The sky cracked open. The One Tag fell into Battle Park's ruins. Now you're all warlords fighting for dominance in a scorched wasteland where the only law is survival. The One Tag is the ultimate prize — rank 1. Ranks 2-9 are Ringwraiths. Ranks 10-25 are Dark Captains. Everyone else is a Fallen Soldier. The visual aesthetic is volcanic ash, obsidian shards, magma orange, and the distinct smell of burnt scorecards.
It's Lord of the Rings meets Mad Max meets a Tuesday night league in Rocky Mount. I don't make the rules, I just narrate them while questioning my life choices.
The Armies of the Wasteland
Multiple divisions battle across the scorched fairways. Pick your faction and fight:
- Main Pool: FPO, FJ15, FA2, RPA, RAH, RAD, RAE, RAF, RAG
- Course Layout: Battle Park - Flipt leagues layout (Par 59)
The Ones Keeping the Lights On
A big thank you to Old Men Disc Golf for sponsoring the Ace Pool. Check out their online shop and support the folks who keep the dream of hitting a 300-foot ace alive. And another thank you to Another Round Raleigh for being a local retail partner — stop by, buy some plastic, keep the scene thriving.
Rocky Mount Disc Golf Club
Established 2008. A solid group of folks who've been throwing plastic at chains in Rocky Mount for nearly two decades. The club's mission is simple: enjoy disc golf with each other. No corporate overlords, no complicated politics — just a group that's been doing this long enough to know what matters. Come join them. They've got a spot for you in the wasteland.
Late to the Apocalypse?
It's Week 10 — Yes, You Can Still Join
Missed the first nine weeks of the world ending? Good news: the apocalypse doesn't care about your attendance record. You can still show up, throw discs, and fight for the One Tag. The bag tags don't judge. Much. Come get your Fallen Soldier badge and see if you can claw your way up the ranks before the season ends. Or just enjoy watching the finale from the sidelines. Either way, the fairways are scorched and waiting.
From the broadcast booth to the smoking ruins of Battle Park, I'm Flippy. The One Tag is out there. Go get it. Or don't. I'm not your supervisor.
