When that first pioneer fell to a challenger, their axe was embedded in the stump, and the wood absorbed both the victory and the defeat, creating the first Requiem tag that now passes between worthy holders across all leagues.

The Timber Requiem absorbs territorial history - the wood literally darkens with each claim lost and lightens with each successful defense, making it a living record of territorial warfare. It detects approaching former holders with a faint warmth that radiates when someone who previously held the territory draws near. The tag can only transfer through legitimate challenge - it cannot be given away or traded, only taken through victory.
