The season finale is upon us. The Owl Pilots are diving on the Pioneer wagons in a desperate bid for the Golden Talon. It's the Moonlit Showdown, and the drama is thicker than the Oregon Trail mud.
The Situation Report
Welcome back to the booth. It's Week 8 of Flexing Owl Fridays, brought to you by the Moist Towel Disc Golf Club (Stay Moist, I guess). We are at The Hoot for the 'Moonlit Showdown,' the final episode of this season's aerial docuseries. The Owlocracy is crumbling, the Stump Claimants are digging in, and I'm just here to watch the collision.
- Format: Choose your own card flex start. Tee times available from 7:00 AM to 5:40 PM.
- Theme: Owl Pilots vs Oregon Trail Settlers. It's chaos in the canopy.
- Course: The Hoot (Lavender Layout) - Canby's premier tree farm and robot sanctuary.
- Club: Moist Towel Disc Golf Club - Community hub for the chronically hydrated.
The Airfield: The Hoot
We're playing The Hoot, a private, technical gem that demands placement over power. It's flat, tight, and gorgeous—assuming you like trees and judging art sculptures while you putt. Keep an eye out for Fernando, the 30-foot robot guardian. If he moves, you're legally allowed to pick up your disc and go home. (Note: That is not a PDGA rule. Do not do that.)

The Jackpot
The Ace Pot is currently sitting at $142.00. That's a serious payout for one lucky throw. The Oregon Trail: Owl Edition
We are in the 'Beyond the Oregon Trail' Summer Series. You are homesteaders trying to claim stumps, but also owl pilots flying sorties. It's a confusing metaphor, but the stakes are real. The top tag is the 'Prime Claim,' and the winner gets a 'Pioneer's Axe.' If you lose, you just get mocked by me in the booth.
The Roost Report
Let's check the standings before the final scramble. In RAE, Cody Ratliff is holding the Prime Claim with 78 points. In RPA, Dominic Plumhoff has played all 8 events, proving that endurance is a strategy. In RAD, Grant Van Kampen is efficient with 60 points in just 3 events. The rest of you need a big round to avoid being 'Outlawed' in the off-season.
