Aspects refreshed Jun 16, 2026

The Twilight Covenant was forged in the First Descent, when the original delvers discovered that the boundary between the surface world and the Underdark was thinnest at dusk. The first band of mercenaries bound their souls to this liminal moment, creating an artifact that could bend the rules of engagement for those who held it. The Covenant has passed through countless hands since, each bearer adding their own mark to its surface.

The Covenant manifests as a band of dark metal that wraps around the bearer's wrist, though it feels like cold silk rather than metal. The face shows a perpetual twilight scene - a horizon line where the sky never fully commits to light or dark. Small embossed figures represent delvers caught in eternal approach and retreat. At twilight, the entire band glows with internal silver light, and the runes indicate whether the seasonal inversion has been used. The bearer's hands slowly turn gray with prolonged use, a sign of the Underdark claiming part of their soul.

Once per season, the bearer may invoke the 'Twilight Hour' - for exactly one hour, all raid attack and defense roles are completely inverted. Those who would be defenders become attackers and must actively pursue those who came to take their tag, failing to do so results in automatic tag loss. This inverts the normal power dynamic, creating opportunities for desperate last stands or trapping overconfident raiders in engagements they never intended.
