The Recap

Penultimate Week, Ultimate Plot Twist

adjusts visor Week 9 of 10 at Alton Baker, and the raid party is down to six. Weather wasn't reported, so I'll only say it was an evening in the Pacific Northwest and let the scorecards supply the atmosphere. Penultimate Power spread six players across RPA, RAD, and RAH, and I'm just the narrator, glued to a chair in a booth I never applied to work in. The Faction Fracture and Grudge Match saga between Joshua Greene and DE'ANTHONY THOMAS gives way to the final regular event, where DE'ANTHONY THOMAS is absent from the results and a dark horse is the story. Everyone was jockeying for position ahead of the Radiance Rumble finale. Log your throws on PDGA Live, too, because more data means richer recaps. โš”๏ธ

Main Character Syndrome, Now With Receipts

Myron Clements won RPA at -8 with a 984-rated round, 59 points above his 925 rating and a course personal best. Early on, Myron led through hole 5 once Joshua bogeyed and lost his share of the lead. Joshua pulled even through hole 7, then Myron led again through hole 8 and never gave it back. His front nine was bogey-free, and he owned the sole birdie on hole 15. Last week Myron finished even par with a 911, so this is a 73-point rating swing. Randy Gourley is the dark horse, second at -6 with a 963 and another course personal best. He opened with a double bogey on hole 1, bounced back with a birdie on hole 2, and took sole birdies on holes 6 and 10. Then he closed with a 2 on the par 4 hole 18 for an eagle. Joshua repeated last week's -2 (922) but slid from 2nd to 4th overall. ๐Ÿฆธ

Front Nine Heroics, Back Nine Villainy

Benjamin Harter won RAD at +1 with an 891-rated round of the day, good for 5th overall. He opened with the sole birdie on hole 1 and rode a seven-hole par train through holes 2-8. His front nine finished 3 strokes better than his back, thanks to a cold stretch on holes 9-11. D.J. Hanks finished 6th overall at +7 with an 828-rated round, 90 points below his 918 rating. His front nine was 7 strokes better than his back, which tells me the game is in there. It just clocked out early tonight. ๐Ÿš‚

Party of One, Still Cinematic

Aaron Burke was the lone RAH player, and he shot -4 with a 943-rated round of the day, 23 points above his 920 rating. That was good for 3rd overall. His sole birdie in the pool came on hole 16, a 300-foot par 3 that the course description calls its most approachable tee shot. Last week Aaron also shot -4 (951), so the score held steady while the rating slipped 8 points and his place dropped from 1st to 3rd. One player is a division and a full cast, but RAH would love more company for the finale. ๐ŸŽฌ

Side Quests and Achievement Unlocks ๐ŸŽฎ

Randy's 2 on the par 4 hole 18 (405 feet) was the only eagle in the division results, and it came after a double bogey to open his round. Myron's 984 was the top performance, a 51-stroke round against a 57.0 field average, with Randy's 963 and Aaron's 943 also well above rating. Sole birdies landed on holes 1, 6, 10, 15, and 16, including hole 6, which the course description ranks as the hardest on the layout. If you track your throws on PDGA Live, the finale recap can dig into C1X putting and scrambles. The throw-by-throw data comes from PDGA Live, so it's worth turning on. ๐Ÿ“Š

Carryover Pinata Finally Cracked Open ๐Ÿ’ฐ

One skins card (Hole #1, 6:00 PM, $5 per skin) had five players and $90.00 changing hands across 18 skins. Myron took 8 skins for $40, Randy 7 for $35, and Benjamin 3 for $15, while D.J. and Joshua finished with 0. Benjamin opened with a birdie on hole 1. After a 4-hole push, Randy took the 5-skin pot with a birdie on hole 6. Myron scooped the 5-skin ($25) carryover on hole 15, and Benjamin took 2 on hole 17 with a birdie. Randy closed on hole 18 with the eagle for the last skin. Loot the chains or go home empty-handed. Aaron wasn't on this card, but the skins playbook explains how to join one.

Fund the Fairways, Save the Sequel

This event raised $3.00 through the league's registration contribution, the only donor listed, which brings the Oregon Disc Golf Course at Alton Baker course fund to $28.40 in total. No goal amount is posted in the data, so I won't invent one. With the season closing, anyone who wants to put a little more toward the fairways is welcome. ๐ŸŒฒ

Floodlights Reassigned, Shadows Not Included

Blinding Autzen Pool A ran in AllIn mode, so every tag was reshuffled off the standings. Myron played and moved the Blinding Autzen from tag 3 to tag 1 on a 51-stroke, 984-rated round, six strokes better than the 57.0 field average and 5.8 better than his own average. The tag is a jagged shard of crystallized stadium light, hot to the touch, that turns its holder into a silhouette. That suits a favorite carrying the spotlight. Joshua fell from 2nd to 4th overall and Aaron from 1st to 3rd, while Randy moved up to 2nd in RPA. DE'ANTHONY THOMAS did not appear in the results, and in an AllIn reshuffle no tag is safe from one week to the next. โœจ

One Last Round, Zero Mercy

Myron walks into the finale with a 984 round and the number 1 tag, while Joshua sits 4th after repeating -2. The Radiance Rumble is Week 10, Monday, October 5, 2026 at 6:00 PM. The venue is unchanged, Oregon Disc Golf Course at Alton Baker, on the ORDGC Gold #4 par 3 and #8 par 4 layout. The champion is crowned and the top Radiance Badge is awarded. The season ends, but the rivalries forged will carry into next year's campaign. ๐Ÿ†

Radiance Rumble

Myron holds the spotlight, but Randy holds the loose thread. He went from a double bogey on hole 1 to a personal-best -6 and an eagle on hole 18, and he's now only two spots from tag 1. Whether the dark horse gets his sequel is what the finale is for.
