The Forest Woke Up Showing Off 🌲
Two eagles landed on hole 11 (Par 4, 428ft) this week, right beside the rocky outcrop where the crew debated for hours whether the newly exposed petroglyph is ancient or a prank. Green Return, Week 5 of 8, put four players on the Yellows (Treebash '26) at Fort Tuthill DGC, with temps running 55.5°F to 75.6°F, wind topping out at 8.7 mph, and a 33% chance of precipitation. The Week 4 knot contest gave way to a forest floor fully awake, with resurgent oak scrub now hiding hole 6's basket.
Hidden Basket, Obvious Takeover
Hole 6 (Par 3, 228ft) decided MPO: Codi Wood carded the field's only birdie there and took the lead for good, kicking off a hot run from 6 through 13 that included his eagle on 11. Wood closed with four straight birdies or better from 15 through 18, including the only birdies on 16 (Par 3, 406ft) and 17 (Par 3, 301ft), for a bogey-free -14 and a 1030-rated round, the round of the day. Joshua Moore took second at -3, a 912-rated round that sat 58 below his 970 rating and well off his Week 4 -7. His bright spots were a pair of 39-foot Circle 2 putts on holes 2 and 12, the first of which produced the field's only birdie on 2.
Empty Tee Pads, Open Invitations
In MA1, Alex Stone shot -8 for a 966-rated round, 39 points above his 927 rating, with eagles on hole 11 and hole 18 (Par 5, 662ft), while MA4's Nikolai Kitaguchi set a personal best on the layout at +14, two strokes better than last week's +16. Both of them deserve some company on the card, so MA1 and MA4 challengers should grab an axe and join the crew.
The Pot Keeps Growing Rings
The loot went to Codi Wood, who held the lone MPO cash spot. Moore finished one place outside the money, which in raid terms means he cleared the dungeon and the chest was already empty.
Chopping Toward a Thousand
This event's $10.00 registration contribution went to Fuel the NAU Disc Golf Team. The project now stands at $55.00, 6% of the $1,000.00 goal, with $945.00 still to go. Every round helps send college players down the road, so the anonymous labor of this timber crew is buying real gas.
Roots Run Deep, Apparently Overnight 🌱
In The Ringwright Union's AllIn reshuffle, Codi Wood climbed from No. 4 to No. 1 on the strength of Codi's 46, and he now holds the #1 Ringroot Watch. The tag represents the ponderosa's ringed roots spreading beneath stone and soil. Its job is to monitor weekly attendance and serve as the league's institutional memory, and as of this week that memory belongs to a man who parks tee shots. No tag is safe in AllIn mode, because next week's standings reshuffle everything again.

Clean Cards Meet Dirty Clay
Mud Ledger, Week 6, returns to Fort Tuthill DGC on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The storyline promises sustained rain, slick clay, and comeback stories, which makes it a convenient week for Moore to win back those 58 points. Wood brings his bogey-free form into the Ringroot Watch's first defense, and every player gets to initial their saves and failures on a ledger where anyone may inscribe and nobody verifies anything. Trust or exploitation, we'll find out. If you want stats that actually hold up, track your round on PDGA Live.

An honor-system scoreboard written in wet dirt is somehow the most honest thing in fantasy lore, and it will wash away by Thursday.
