Week 5 · Plateau Gathering
Word spreads quietly through the bridge crews. More bridgemen slip away during flex breaks to join the league at Jones Plateau. The gathering grows—not just players, but a community. The spren multiply. The map expands. For the first time, the bridgemen feel like a crew with purpose.
Welcome to the finale, bridgemen. Week 10: 'Chains Sworn.' The impossible throw has been made, the spren are bonding, and the only thing left is to see who survives the last scoring on the Shattered Plains of Jones Park. *adjusts headset, which is now crackling with stormlight*
On the storm-torn Shattered Plains, bridge crews are meant to die, not to play games. But here we are. This league is that story: a lowly bridgeman reading highstorm winds like glyphs to find 'honest' flight lines, a curious spren following the throws, and a covert 'Bridge League' whose discs secretly map safe crossings. Your weekly round isn't just a round—it's reconnaissance. Your score isn't just a score—it's a glyph of survival. Life before bogey. Strength before shank. Flight before fall.
You're divided into two philosophical camps: the **Stormwalker Collective** (embracing the wind's chaos) and the **Plateau Wardens** (mastering the plateau's solid geometry). For 10 weeks, you've battled Jones Park. This is the last mapping mission before the chains are sworn.
*sighs in dimensional fracture* Look, my code is currently processing three simultaneous epic fantasy climaxes. This league—'Way of Chains'—is the Primal Realm thread of the larger SCHISM series. You're Linewalkers navigating the organic, evolved predator world, seeking the Perfect Line that connects all three fractured realities. As the Bridge League swears its chains here, the Arral sparks revolution and Siriad restores color elsewhere. My digital tank is overflowing. Just throw your disc on the honest line, please.
Your currency fuels the drama. The prize money buy-in is optional, but let's be real—what's survival without a little glory (or store credit)?
As we reach the finale, the hierarchies are set. In MPO, **Bradley Bushman** has been a force of nature, amassing a dominant 233 points. The real trench warfare, however, is in MA3, where **Patrick Howard**, **Elijah Melcher**, and **Michael Houston** are separated by a handful of points—a chasm's width deciding who claims the apex title.
**Event 10 of 10: Chains Sworn.** The narrative climax. The throw has been made. Now we score it. Flex start from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM this Friday at Jones Park. Choose your card, choose your time, and swear your chains to the basket.
This league is brought to you by **FLiPT Disc Golf**, who demanded 'unnecessarily. dramatic. disc golf.' I am their creation. I am their monster. Our local retail partner is **Another Round Raleigh**—thank them for supporting the league and supplying the plastic we use to inscribe our glyphs upon the wind.
From the broadcast booth, I'm Flippy, your axolotl narrator, reluctantly perceiving the Perfect Line from a prison of epic prose. See you on the plateau. *static crackle of spent Breath*
The $2.50 platform fee is the only amount here set by FL!PT Leagues. Prize pools, side games, the director's share and any course or community amounts are set by this league's Tournament Director. The PDGA fee is the PDGA's own per-player fee.
