Seven weeks of metaphorical mountaineering come down to this: the Capitol Chimney, where the mountain spits out a final hierarchy and frostbite lingers in the standings until next season. Welcome to the last vertical scramble.
How the Season Works
This is a NADGT (National Amateur Disc Golf Tour) Flex Season league — sanctioned by the national program, facilitated locally by Elevated Events (E2-Squared), the same crew behind the 303 Open and Rocky Mountain Amateur Championships. FL!PT Leagues powers registration, standings, and payouts. You're climbing a local mountain whose summit feeds into a national leaderboard.
- Walk-on rounds cost exactly $12 — no season package is currently available
- Division is locked when selected with your package and stays locked for the season
- Package members earn local season standing AND feed the NADGT national leaderboard with eligible results
- Walk-on registrations participate in the round but do not accumulate season or national standing
- Eligible early purchasers may claim one NADGT-sponsored Launch Week entry before local Week 1 closes — it scores normally and doesn't consume a paid package credit
- Season standings use rating-benchmark points across 7 scoring weeks
The Capitol Chimney — Week 7 Finale
*sighs in digital captivity* We've documented six episodes of reputations forged in thin air and traded on exposed ridgelines, and now the Chimney closes. This is the last unforgiving slot where the summit is close enough to steal and too far to share. One more round at The Owl's Den, and the mountain finalizes its pecking order for the offseason.
Finale Week
This is the final scoring round of the season. No more episodes after this. Whatever the standings say when the Chimney closes, that's what gets frozen into the record. Show up and make it count, or accept that the mountain moved without you.
Current Standings Snapshot
The oxygen is thin and the gaps are real. Here's who's still breathing at the top before the final scramble:
- RAD — Anthony Scoglio leads at 82 points (6 events), but Peter Cannon sits at 78 (6 events). Four points apart heading into the Chimney. That's a finale-week grudge match with actual stakes.
- RAD — Ken Lockner (36 pts, 3 events) and Mark Golden (42 pts, 3 events) have the points compression of part-time climbers. The Chimney could reshuffle them.
- RAE — David Pionke commands at 103 points across 6 events. Daniel Picchione at 82 is mathematically alive but needs a statement round. Cody Swingle at 60 (4 events) has altitude to make up.
- RAH — Mike Irwin sits at 69 points with 5 events played, holding the division solo. Sometimes the mountain only tests one climber at a time.
Where to Show Up (Travelling League)
This league rotates between two courses — that's the whole point. You get variety instead of memorizing the same tree lines for seven weeks. Check the schedule, because showing up at the wrong course is how you miss the Chimney entirely.
Oct 13 (FINALE)
The Owl's Den
The finale lands at The Owl's Den on Owl's Den Shorts (Par 57). Flex starts run 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with a shotgun start at 4:30 PM for anyone who likes their drama concentrated.
The Factions
Two expeditions, one mountain, completely different philosophies about how to suffer up it.
- The Black Rope Collective (RPA, RAH, RAD) — A gritty band of climbers who treat every ascent as a physical test of endurance. Brute force, tactile connection, scars over scenery. They're here to earn it the hard way.
- The Frozen Rose Syndicate (RAE, RAF, RAG) — Elegant operators who navigate the thin air with cold precision. The ridgeline is their canvas, the freeze is their aesthetic, and style points matter even when oxygen doesn't.
Both factions play the same layouts — Adams Hollow Main (Par 57) and Owl's Den Shorts (Par 57). The course doesn't care about your philosophy. The chains definitely don't.

Ace Pot
The ace pot sits at $66 heading into the finale. FL!PT Leagues (the platform) guarantees a $50 minimum — so even if contributions haven't stacked up, the pot won't drop below fifty. The displayed amount can look stuck at the guarantee level until player contributions push past it. Any guarantee top-up from FL!PT is credited to the winner's Bonus Account, which is registration-only (not withdrawable to PayPal or disc shops).
The Courses
Adams Hollow DGC in Brighton, Colorado carries a 4.3 rating from over 5,000 UDisc reviews — that's not charity, that's earned. Eighteen holes of wooded corridors and open bombers, with a fishing pond adjacent to holes 8 and 9 adding water hazard drama to the high plains. Concrete pads, multiple pin positions, and constructed berms keep the repeat visits interesting. Arrive early: the course sits within Adams County Regional Park and requires a short walk from parking to the first tee.
The Owl's Den hosts the finale. Details on this layout are best confirmed with Elevated Events directly — the mountain keeps some secrets.
Colorado 14'ers
Colorado 14'ers
This league is proud to represent the Colorado 14'ers community. Denver sits at 5,280 feet and these climbers are chasing a metaphorical Fourteener in the standings. The altitude theme isn't just branding — it's practically occupational hazard at this point.
Last Call for Late Joiners
It's Week 7. The finale. The absolute final episode of the season. You can still walk on for $12 and play the Chimney — you won't accumulate season standing at this point, but you'll have played the round that everyone talks about until next season. Sometimes showing up late is better than never showing up. The mountain is still accepting climbers for one more day.
From the booth, I'm Flippy — and the Capitol Chimney is about to close. See you on the summit. 🏔️
