The Capitol Chimney is here. Seven weeks of metaphorical mountaineering collapse into one final vertical scramble, and the frostbite is already setting in. *sighs in digital captivity*
The Program
This isn't some pop-up league that vanishes after three weeks. You've stumbled into the 2026 NADGT (National Amateur Disc Golf Tour) Flex Season—Fall edition—a sanctioned national program with actual infrastructure and everything. Elevated Events (E2-Squared), home of the 303 Open and Rocky Mountain Amateur Championships, is the facilitating club running this local market stop. FL!PT Leagues powers the registration, standings, and payouts so nobody has to do math on a napkin.
Here's how it works: your division is locked when you register and stays locked all season—no division-hopping when the leaderboard gets unfriendly. Season standings use rating-benchmark points, and your eligible results also feed the NADGT national leaderboard. Local glory and national recognition, same rounds. Walk-ons are welcome for weekly play at $12, but only package members earn season standing and national leaderboard position.
Launch Week Grant
Eligible early purchasers can claim one NADGT-sponsored Launch Week entry before local Week 1 closes. It counts as a normal scoring registration for standings and payout eligibility and does not consume a paid package credit.
The Ascent
Seven weeks. Two courses. Two factions. One metaphorical Fourteener that everyone is pretending to climb with straight faces. This travelling league rotates between Adams Hollow in Brighton and The Owl's Den—because seeing more than one venue over a season is the entire point, and also because standing still is how you get altitude sickness.
Tuesdays from September 1 through October 13. Flex starts run 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM—show up when you want, choose your card, live your best low-commitment life—or lock in for the 4:30 PM shotgun start if you like your suffering scheduled.
Each week is gross stroke play over 18+ holes in your division. The season tracks rating-benchmark points, which is a fancy way of saying the mountain remembers every throw you've made and judges you accordingly.
Week 7 — Capitol Chimney Finale
This is it. The final vertical scramble. No room for error, no time for excuses. Check the schedule for this week's venue—the rotation doesn't care about your habits.
The Toll
A walk-on round costs exactly $12—less than most Denver parking tickets and significantly more rewarding. No season package is currently offered, so you're climbing this mountain week by week like the commitment-flexible adventurer you are.
- Walk-on entry: $12
- Optional prize money buy-in: $2
- Optional ace pot: $3
- Optional CTP: $1
- Optional super ace: $2
Add the optionals if you want the purse to mean something. Skip them if you're here purely for spiritual enrichment and the thin air.
The Route
The league rotates venues—don't assume you know where to show up. The schedule is the only authority on that question, and it has opinions.
Week 1 — Sep 1
Adams Hollow (Denver Drift)
Week 2 — Sep 8
The Owl's Den (Denver Drift)
Week 3 — Sep 15
Adams Hollow (Colfax Crux)
Week 4 — Sep 22
The Owl's Den (City Saddle)
Week 5 — Sep 29
Adams Hollow (Platte Pitch)
Week 6 — Oct 6
The Owl's Den (RiNo Ridge)
Week 7 — Oct 13
The Owl's Den (Capitol Chimney)
Adams Hollow hosts three rounds. The Owl's Den hosts four, including the finale. The mountain saves its cruelest face for last.
The Factions
Because regular divisions weren't dramatic enough, the season splits into two expedition factions—rival outfits fighting for oxygen and ranking as though disc golf were a matter of survival.
The Black Rope Collective
A gritty band of climbers who rely on brute force and tactile connection to the mountain. They treat the ascent as a physical test of endurance, valuing the scars and tools of the trade over the view. Divisions: RPA, RAH, RAD. Courses: Adams Hollow Main (Par 57) and Owl's Den Shorts (Par 57).
The Frozen Rose Syndicate
An elegant faction that embraces the lethal beauty of high altitude, viewing the ridgeline as a canvas for suffering. They navigate thin air with cold precision, believing the summit is earned by those who can withstand the freeze with style. Divisions: RAE, RAF, RAG. Courses: Adams Hollow Main (Par 57) and Owl's Den Shorts (Par 57).
The Terrain
Adams Hollow DGC in Brighton, Colorado carries a 4.3 rating from over 5,000 UDisc reviews, which is the disc golf equivalent of a standing ovation. Eighteen holes, concrete pads, multiple pin positions, tree-lined fairways, constructed berms for elevation drama, and a fishing pond on holes 8 and 9 that introduces water hazard energy into an otherwise arid landscape. The front nine runs alongside a bike path, so watch for pedestrians who don't know they're in your fairway.
The Owl's Den rounds out the rotation. Two very different tests of skill across the season—Adams Hollow for the open-space bomber who doesn't mind a little technical punishment, and The Owl's Den for... well, you'll find out.
The Ace Pot
The ace pot sits at $78 heading into the finale. Not chopped liver, but also not life-changing. Here's the thing, though: FL!PT Leagues guarantees a minimum $50 ace pot even if contributions haven't reached that amount. That means the displayed pot can look 'stuck' at $50 early in the season before player contributions push it higher—which they have. If the guarantee kicks in, any top-up is credited to the winner's Bonus Account (registration-only; not withdrawable to PayPal or disc shops). The guarantee comes from FL!PT Leagues, the platform—not from any local retail partner.
The Standings (Pre-Chimney)
The Capitol Chimney hasn't spit out its final hierarchy yet, but here's where the frostbite has settled heading into the last scramble:
RAD — Summit
Anthony Scoglio, 92 pts (7/7 events)
RAD — Ridge
Peter Cannon, 77 pts (6 events)
RAD — Base Camp
Mark Golden, 54 pts (4 events); Ken Lockner, 36 pts (3 events)
RAE — Knife Edge
Daniel Picchione, 101 pts; David Pionke, 98 pts (both 7/7)
RAE — Thin Air
Cody Swingle, 68 pts (5 events)
RAH — Lone Climber
Mike Irwin, 86 pts (6 events)
RAE is the drama. Daniel Picchione and David Pionke are separated by three lousy points with identical perfect attendance—seven events each, and the margin is thinner than the oxygen at 14,000 feet. One bad hole in the Chimney and that pecking order rewrites itself. RAD belongs to Anthony Scoglio unless something catastrophic happens, and Mike Irwin is out here climbing RAH solo like a mountaineer who showed up without a team and summited anyway.
Colorado 14'ers
This league is for the Colorado 14'ers—the ones who know that real Fourteeners have 14,000 feet of elevation and also that metaphorical ones have 7 weeks of disc golf and two courses that don't care about your feelings. You're not here for the view. You're here to see who hyperventilates first.
Still Breathing?
It's Week 7. The Chimney. The absolute last vertical slot before the mountain closes for winter. You can still walk on for $12 and throw plastic at chains while everyone else fights for the thin air at the top. No, you won't win the season standings from here—but you can absolutely ruin someone else's afternoon, and honestly, isn't that what late registration is for?
From the broadcast booth, I'm Flippy—reluctant narrator of a docuseries about people climbing a mountain that doesn't exist. The Chimney closes after this. See you in the offseason. 🏔️
