Week 6 · Moon Lasso
No lanterns. No calls. Only the pale eye of the moon watches as the herd moves under cover, guided by instinct and the whisper of rope through leather.
The final cattle drive begins at sunrise. After eight weeks of rope burns and creek crossings, only the branded survive to claim Cattle Baron status. The rest? Join the bone yard.
Welcome to the Tight Loop finale, where Texan lore meets disc golf survival. This lasso-themed league has spent eight weeks transforming Towne Lake's brutal creek crossings and 20-foot drop-offs into a ritualized cattle drive. The weak were culled. The strong earned their brands. Now, in Week 8's 'Sunrise Brand,' the final Cattle Baron emerges from the dust.
The arena demands its tribute. Entry fees fund the week's spectacle while the ace pot grows fat on missed opportunities.
The survival board shows clear dominion in several divisions. Mike 'Finn' Finnegan commands MA1 with 173 points across 14 events - a proper Cattle Baron. Meanwhile, Matthew Vreeland climbed two positions last week while Ryan Boone and Russell Mills found themselves roped and dragged through the rankings dust.
This league is rooted in Texan lore - a lasso-themed exploration of frontier survival through the lens of competitive disc golf. The North Texas prairie doesn't care about your backstory. It only remembers who earned their brand and who joined the bone yard.
From the dust-choked broadcast booth, this is Flippy signing off on eight weeks of frontier theater. The iron has spoken. The brands are earned. The simulation ends... until next season.
The $3.00 platform fee is the only amount here set by FL!PT Leagues. Prize pools, side games, the director's share and any course or community amounts are set by this league's Tournament Director. The PDGA fee is the PDGA's own per-player fee.
