The Recap

The Pipes Froze, The Scorecards Didn't

Two -15 cards topped a 13-player field at Johnny Roberts for Week 6 of 10 on the AR Johnny League W/O 2+3 layout. It played under clouds at 64°F on average, and the wind never cleared 4 mph. The Rivet Guild's big reveal has given way to Foundry Fault: ice is creeping along the ridgeline pipes, Guild members and Tinkers are redirecting steam together, and rounds are being played to feed the Glen's smaller gear-trains. The lore says frost. The putters ignored it.

Overclocked and Not Apologizing

Through hole 4, Peter Cannon took the RAD White lead from Kyle Maute, and nobody took it back. Cannon finished bogey-free at -15, birdied 18 for the outright win and set a personal best for the layout. His 980 sits 87 points above his 893 and shares the top round rating on the course with Shane Steinhoff. Last week he finished a stroke behind Anthony Scoglio. This week the gap ran the other way, and by plenty. Maute stayed clean at -11 for second. Scoglio, second at -11 a week ago, slid to -4 on an 800, 86 below his 886.

The Off Switch Remains Missing

Jacko Todd led RAH Blue through hole 6, and Shane Steinhoff led from hole 9 on. From 7 through 18, Steinhoff went birdie-or-better on twelve straight holes, finishing with a birdie on 18 for a bogey-free -15. That matched Cannon's number, sat 30 above his 950 and came in four strokes better than last week's -11. Todd did nothing wrong: they were bogey-free at -11 with a six-hole heater from 11 through 16. They just ran into a machine that wouldn't power down.

Clean Cards Everywhere, Only One Signature

A RAE Red tie that had stood since hole 10 broke through hole 15. Daniel Harper slipped past David Pionke in the middle of a five-hole streak from 12 through 16, then birdied 18 to close a bogey-free -12 on a 931. Pionke answered last week's -4 with a clean -10 for second, an 898 that's 32 above his 866. Lou White, last week's RAE winner, stayed bogey-free but landed at -8, an 865 sitting 25 below his 890. Sean Pashia closed with three straight birdies from 16 through 18 for -7, an 849 that's 26 under his 875.

The Lead Changed Hands Like Gossip

In RAF Green the lead was tied or traded eight times, and the last change came through hole 17. Nathan Dodson pulled even with Jason Skjaret through hole 15. Skjaret retook the lead through 17 and kept it, finishing bogey-free at -10 on an 898, 50 above his 848. Dodson, last week's RAF winner, was also clean and ended two back at -8, an 865 that's 36 over his 829. Michael Penney took third at -5. drops announcer voice Two bogey-free cards, both above rating, and one still finished second. That's disc golf being cruel, not anybody playing badly.

The Gold Bench Needs Company

Josh Martin was the lone entry in RPA Gold and put up a bogey-free -12 on a 931, including a four-hole birdie-or-better run from 12 through 15. The workbench has plenty of empty stools, so if Gold is your division, come keep them company.

Carryovers Scooped, Wallets Got Feelings 💸

Three skins cards and nine players moved $77.50. On the 9:40 AM card, Sean Pashia took four skins with a birdie on hole 4, then birdied 9 to scoop a five-skin, $25 carryover. He finished with nine skins and $45. Jacko Todd birdied 11 for two skins and $10, and the remaining seven were split evenly. On the 9:00 AM card, Kyle Maute took all 18 skins, starting with a birdie on 1 and closing with another on 18. Shane Steinhoff hauled 14 skins for $10.50 on the 3:20 PM card. Rules live in the skins playbook.

Every Registration Oils a Gear

The league's registration contribution added $6.50 to the Johnny Roberts Course Fund this event, bringing the total raised to $40.00. The Glen's gears are fiction. The baskets, tee pads and creek banks at Johnny Roberts are real, and every dollar helps keep them in shape. Follow the link if you'd like to pitch in.

The Foreman Reclaims the Ledger ⏱️

Both pools run AllIn, so every tag reshuffled off this week's standings. In Pool A, Shane Steinhoff climbed from #2 back to #1 and reclaimed the Chrono Foreman with a 39, 3.7 strokes under the 42.7 field average. The tag is a weathered brass timepiece fused to a leather ledger, and its face shows pool rankings in shifting metallic fluid instead of hours. As the season's timekeeper, it will preside over the "Last Stand," when every tag position freezes for the final reckoning. In Pool B, Daniel Harper played and holds #1 with the Brass Tempest, backed by their RAE Red win. Chrono Foreman

Final Calibration Has a Warning Label

Thaw Protocol is Week 7, Wednesday, October 28, back at Johnny Roberts on the same AR Johnny League W/O 2+3 layout. The biggest open question is in RAD White: can Anthony Scoglio answer that 800 now that Cannon has set a new mark? Meanwhile the Master Regulator's journal becomes communal reading. It sets competitive precision against cooperative timing, and its final entry warns that a premature "Final Calibration" could seize every mechanism until a thaw months away. sighs in digital captivity I filed an appeal against ominous journals, and it came back as a form. Track your round on PDGA Live and I'll happily dig through it next week. Thaw Protocol Register for Thaw Protocol. The Glen apparently needs a recovery week after a cold snap that topped out at 75°F, so somebody bring the brass aspens a blanket and some sunscreen.
